Capacity Building

OCNI is leading the expansion and resilience of the Canadian nuclear industry to strengthen it's competitive edge.

Delivering Canada’s growing pipeline of nuclear projects will require a supply chain with the people, skills, certifications and resources to meet industry demand. OCNI works with members to identify capability gaps and prepare for the technical, commercial and operational requirements of current and future projects.

OCNI supports supplier development through training, educational programs, industry guidance and direct engagement with utilities, project owners and experienced industry partners. Members gain a clearer understanding of procurement expectations, quality standards, regulatory requirements and the investments needed to participate successfully in nuclear projects.

This work helps companies strengthen their operations, develop their workforce and expand their ability to compete, while building the collective capacity Canada needs to deliver nuclear projects safely, reliably and on schedule.
