Our fleet of CANDU reactors are the only power reactors in the world capable of producing medical isotopes without interrupting power generation. This infrastructure has become a foundation of the global medical isotope supply, providing hope for patients worldwide.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OCNI\u2019s participation at EANM highlighted the essential contribution of Canada&#8217;s nuclear supply chain to the sustainable, long-term supply of these vital isotopes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFrom isotope production to patient delivery, Canada plays a key role in the advancement of nuclear medicine,\u201d said Sarina Harrison, OCNI Senior Manager of Partners and Events. \u201cWe are proud to be supporting our member and industry partners as we showcase our unique expertise to the world.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Canadian delegation hosted two key events over the course of the Congress to demonstrate Canada\u2019s world-class capabilities:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Powering Canada\u2019s Medical Isotope Leadership: The Canadian Nuclear Isotope Council (CNIC) hosted a side event exploring how Canada\u2019s CANDU infrastructure supports the growing global nuclear medicine market. Speakers from Laurentis Energy Partners, Bruce Power, Kinectrics, and Nordion detailed their unique roles, from operations and specialized delivery systems to future innovations that will ensure Canada\u2019s long-term leadership and supply of medical isotopes.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Inside Canada\u2019s Isotope Ecosystem: OCNI and CNIC co-hosted an event highlighting the innovation driving Canada\u2019s global isotope leadership. Speakers from OCNI, CNIC, Isosolutions, Promation, Stevcon, Pacer, Cadena Research, and NUCM Radiopharma emphasized how collaboration and partnerships are unlocking new opportunities in the global fight against cancer. These organizations are all showcased in the newly updated Canadian Isotope Ecosystem Directory.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">International engagement is vital for securing the long-term, sustainable supply of life-saving medical isotopes.
