{"id":4770,"date":"2021-11-25T19:14:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-25T19:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ocni.ca\/ocnistaging\/?p=4770"},"modified":"2021-11-25T19:14:00","modified_gmt":"2021-11-25T19:14:00","slug":"ocni-announces-2021-award-winners-and-new-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ocni.mbc-inc.com\/index.php\/2021\/11\/25\/ocni-announces-2021-award-winners-and-new-board\/","title":{"rendered":"OCNI Announces 2021 Award Winners and New Board"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>November 25, 2021, Pickering Ontario<\/strong>. \u2013 The Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) held its second virtual AGM &amp; Awards Event on November 25 with broad participation from its 248 member companies. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2021 OCNI Supplier Excellence Awards were presented to five OCNI member companies by OCNI President and CEO Ron Oberth. \u201cI am proud to recognize OCNI member companies for their achievements exemplifying the strength and depth of Canada\u2019s nuclear supply chain.\u201d said Ron in announcing the winners:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u201cBalance Means Business\u201d Award:&nbsp;X-energy Canada <\/strong>for helping the nuclear industry to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and for being a leader in demonstrating the value of gender diversity in enhancing business excellence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cCustomer Service\u201d Award:<\/strong> <strong>Nu-Tech Precision Metals Inc.<\/strong> for consistently exceeding customer expectations and building a distinguished reputation based on a track record of solutions for customers in the nuclear energy sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cInnovation\u201d Award:<\/strong> <strong>Brotech Precision CNC<\/strong> for developing an innovative robotic process automation system to review and approve documents with speed, productivity, and management oversight for the Canadian nuclear industry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cInnovation\u201d Award:<\/strong> <strong>L3Harris Technologies<\/strong> for three years of in-depth research and technical development of the first-of-a-kind, real-time simulation of a Generation IV molten salt reactor, the Orchid\u00ae-based IMSR\u00ae plant simulator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cExport\u201d Award:&nbsp;Kanata Electronic Services Ltd.<\/strong> for delivering world-leading nuclear products and services to customers in Romania, Korea, Argentina and China and having a significant export growth of 49% in the last year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OCNI is also pleased to announce that <strong>Ahab Abdel-Aziz<\/strong> of Gowling WLG has been re-elected as Chair of the Board of Directors.
